Instructions for uploading talks to LARP CM12
Creating a talk
- Log into private link (If you don't know the username/password, contact Eric Prebys)
- Select the session of interest.
- Click "Upload Document" at the upper left.
- Select the approriate talk title from the pulldown menu at the top.
- Select file(s) to upload using the "browse.." button(s).
- Supply all required information. In particular:
- Document type: "Talk:"
- View: "Public" (This is very important; otherwise it will "disappear" from the public page)
- Select file(s) to upload using the "browse.." button(s).
- Click "Submit Document" at the bottom.
- Click "Display Event" near the top to make sure it worked.
Modifying a talk
- Log into private link
- Click on talk title (not talk filename)
- If the talk itself has changed:
- Click "Update Document" at the left
- Follow instructions as above, changing defaults as necessary (note, document forgets "View" state)
- Click "Update Document" at the bottom
- If you just want to update information about the document (for example if you got the "View" state wrong):
- Click "Update DB Info" at the left
- Make changes
- Click "Update Document" at the bottom
- To add files:
- Click "Add files"
- select new file(s) with "Browse..." button(s)
- Click "Add files"
Troubleshooting
- Talk title disappears from public page:
- Use "Update DB Info" instructions above to set view state to "Public"
